We are a small operation located in beautiful New Hampshire. It all
began when I bought my first Missouri Foxtrotter, a gelding named
Foxy.  I was very impressed with his willing and sweet attitude, and
his comfortable  ground-covering gaits.  Well, as they say, To Ride
One is to Own one! And I was hooked!

When my mother passed away before Christmas, 2003, she left us a
little gift. We used that gift to purchase a couple of beautiful Blue
Roan mares from Jane Bruns at Calico Creek Foxtrotters in the fall
of 2004. Winter of 2005 I came across Susie Jeffery's site in Canon
Creek, Colorado, and fell in love with her black yearling, Vanessa.
What a lovely addition she is to our barn!

Another opportunity fell in our lap the following spring to purchase a
big, black mare named Super Storm, who was in foal to Dyan
Westvang's Red Roan Stallion Toy Boy.

WOW, that was an exciting year at the Aveni household!  My
husband thinks I may be out of my mind but, hold on, because here
we go!!  We are now concentrating on breeding and enjoying the
babies soooo much!

I'd like to take a side trail here to thank Jen Myer of Bridle Ridge
Gaited Horses for all her support, knowledge of computers and
Foxtrotters, and her wonderful friendship. Thank you, Jen!  And
thank you Dyan Westvang for your insights and expertise. I'd like to
thank all breeders of Missouri Foxtrotters for your comittment to
this wonderful breed.

In honor of my wonderful Mom, we have decided to name our farm
VJ's Blues Foxtrotters. We could not have done this without her
support and we can just see her smiling down at us and our crazy
antics. We still miss you, Mom!
